First cruise and international trip together - Day 1 Departure
Got on the ship early and grabbed a table in the Windjammer buffet overlooking Miami Bay. Enjoyed a yummy a Pina colada. 
After we dropped our bags we set to exploring the ship. The amount of restaurants and bars is incredible. The scale of everything, so huge, a massive resort and the entertainment around the clock but on the water.... insane.
We rushed to dinner at the Chops steak house, a specialty restaurant on the ship. We started chatting with a couple from Ohio who were very sweet and cruise veterans. They gave a new look on the ship life and tips for our next one. The 4 course meal was fantastic and the steak melted in the mouth. We also had beautiful views of the coastline as we pulled farther away. We finished up and grabbed my camera and headed to the back of the ship to watch the sunset together. The cruise ship had a special for departure day at the casino where they gave you $2 to spend on them on any slot machine. I picked a cute Chinese looking slot machine with Panda's on it. Honestly I had no idea what I was doing. I think you bet a certain amount and it raised your odds. Anyways a couple clicks in, I hit a big one and won $34 bucks!! It was oddly the most fun I've done in a Casino before. I really wanted to try roulette and bet on black because that's what Shawn does in Pysch episode. I put down my new found $30 bucks and bet on black 11! Lost it all right away. In the end we kept going up and down and eventually left with $25 but man was it fun. We played with another couple and they saw us as good luck and kept betting on the same ones as us. Worked for quite a while and we both made money.
When you first enter the buffet they have a crew member singing "washy washy, no washy no yummy." At the sinks for hand washing. Haha
We had some complications with our room and we were sent the guest services. The manager upgraded us to a window room which was so lovely.
Justin wanted to watch the ship pull way from port and man was it worth it. We pulled right past the Miami Beach. The whole beach stretches' for miles and is lined with skyscrapers. Gorgeous!
We finished off the night with a Bobby Brooks Wilson show.
